The fruit for Terroir Series SV Malbec Finca Orellana, Trapiche is harvested by hand following a process of careful bunch selection. After destemming, the juice undergoes fermentation with wild yeasts in small concrete vats for 25 days at 26-28C. Natural malolactic fermentation takes place followed by ageing for 18 months in new French oak barrels. The wine is further aged in bottle for 12 months before release.Terroir Series SV Malbec Finca Orellana, Trapiche has aromas of red fruits such as cherries and plums and hints of mint, fresh herbs & balsamic. It is full bodied on the palate with great fruit concentration, ripe, soft tannins and a long, lingering finish.
